ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research study was to establish factors affecting infrastructure upgrading projects in hospitality industry in Kenya with reference to Norfolk hotel. The specific objectives of the study were to analyze the effects of finance, maintenance progress, management style, stakeholder participation and technology on infrastructure upgrading projects in hospitality industry in Kenya. The beneficiaries of the study will include: the management of Norfolk hotel, other hotel and future researchers. Descriptive research design was adopted in conducting research. The target population was 94 employees. The researcher used stratified random sampling procedure to select a sample size of 47 respondents representing 50% of the target population. Questionnaires were used which had open and closed questions to collect data which was then analyzed using statistical tools and presented using pie chart and tables, figures and graphs.
