Newcrest Mining Limited has become one of the largest mining company in the world. It is listed in the Australian Stock Exchange and Port Moresby Stock Exchange. Its main business is mining for gold and copper. Currently it has mining areas in Orange, New South Wales, Lihir in Papua New Guinea, Bonikro in West Africa and also Gosowong, Indonesia. They export their production to Eastern Asia. They have plan to expand to Fiji. For the year 2015, NCM has accumulated better profit than the previous year. Currently there are 10 Board of Directors (BOD) with different background to helm the company. They own more than 50% of the Newcrest’s outstanding share and they are categorized as major shareholder. They can influence and make decisions with regards to its operation and strategic planning of the company. At the point of report, they have managed the company well in term of profitability, asset management and also liabilities management. It has a better economic showdown in its future outlook.
