Assignment Question

Write a referenced discursive essay of about 700 words on the following topic.

“Electronic textbooks are better than traditional print textbooks.” Discuss.

Purpose

The main purpose of this assignment is to test your ability to present and organise a range of contrasting sources.

Assignment Details

You need to read 4 recommended journal articles. Then, you need to summarise the major advantages and drawbacks of electronic textbooks from those articles, which should form the body paragraphs of your essay.

You are expected to study and analyse the conflicting views on the given topic. You also need to demonstrate your familiarity with both sides of the argument and present your own conclusions in a suitably academic manner.

* You should ONLY read the 4 recommended journal articles listed on page 2. There is no need to consult other sources. Any material from sources other than the 4 recommended articles will not be marked.

* You should use APA referencing style in writing in-text citations and the reference list.

Length

700 words (+/– 50 words), not including references.

Evaluation

An assessment rubric will be used.

Deadline

You need to submit your work (both hardcopy and softcopy) to your Lecturer in Lesson 20.

Format

* Printed and not handwritten.

* 1.5 line spacing on A4 paper.

* Font size: 12.

* Margin: 1 inch.

* No cover page.
