Position Title: Summer Associate to Investment Advisor (Full-time or Part-time)

Positions Available: 2-3

Location: 5140 Yonge Street, North York Civic Centre

Duration: May 2011 – August 2011

Compensation: Unpaid

Job Description: As an Associate, you will work alongside a team of Investment Advisors with the goal of building business. Generally, you will perform telemarketing and administrative tasks. As an Associate, you will be responsible for proactively introducing individual and institutional clients on new initiatives/products/services and ultimately directing them to an Investment Advisor (IA). You will also be using Excel, Word, online financial services and online resources that will be required to complete the task at hand. You will be given more responsibility and in-depth tasks as you show efficiency and a desire to learn. This role is ideal for an individual who is interested in learning about the financial industry, particularly in wealth management.

The position will not include:

- Advising clients on or selling investment products

Qualifications:

- Enrolled in BA/BCOM program with an interest in finance

- Strong oral communications

- Excellent customer service attitude/interpersonal skills

- Proficient with MS Office Suite

- Ability to work with little supervision
