Abstract

I choose for my final topic the “National Welfare Fund “Samruk-Kazyna” to describe its structure, strategy, culture and stakeholders. The main reason is because it is one of the desirable places for work for many graduate students in Kazakhstan. Working in “Samruk-Kazyn” means to be wealth, participate in the economical, financial and manufacturing activities in a whole Kazakhstan and East Asia. As you know Kazakhstan is a country which got its independence in 1991. All 20 years of independence people still facing problems from the past century of communists’ time. Most key business industries such as oil and gas, uranium, gold, coal and etc were under control of the old generation of business people, with high level of hierarchy, bureaucracy, high level of uncertainty for foreign investments. But in year 2008 President of Kazakhstan gave the order to create national wealth fund that that will unite all the key industries of the country. First movement was sending to retirement all people from old communist regime. As I know the CEO is 46 years old, real leader who has western methods of doing business, all key positions now are giving to people who are really deserved it. That is why many young people with education are seeking position in the national fund.

Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 13, 2008 № 669 «Оn some measures on competitiveness and sustainability of national economy» and by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 17, 2008 № 962 «Оn measures on realization of the Decree of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 669» by merge of two joint stock companies Kazakhstan Holding for the Management of State Assets SAMRUK and KAZYNA Sustainable Development Fund....
