EXECUTIVE SUMMAY

This report is all about “Managing Across Cultures”. In this report, different aspects of multi-cultural environment are discussed within management perspective.

A brief view of culture articulates us about the importance of culture in a diversified cultural environment. How a culture interacts with one another and what ultimate consequences are being observed.

“Culture in general is concerned with beliefs and values on the basis of which people interpret experiences and behave, individually and in groups.” (Murray, 2006)

Cultural dimensions have been taken into play to understand the national and organizational differences. Ultimately, a cross culture term comes into existence.

In a cross cultural environment, managing people creates many distinctions. People have different beliefs and behaviours.

The existence of cross culture creates a need to manage people across cultures.

The communication is the basic barrier in managing diverse manpower. People don’t know how communicate themselves in a different environment. To overcome communication barriers, training would be the best solution of all either real time or of the work.

The second one is the cultural shock. Any act which is according to your beliefs and behaviours is your culture, but when anyone differentiates from this perspective it would give you a cultural shock.

Cultural and time management distinctions lead towards major ups and downs in efficiency and performance. To optimize human performance a manager should have a knowledge ideology and aptness towards any particular task.
