terms of internet subscribers with 402 million internet users by December 2015

Mobile based Internet is a key component of Indian Internet usage, with seven out of eight
users accessing internet from their mobile phones

Urban teledensity stood at 152.76 per cent and rural teledensity at 48.66 per cent as on
September 2015

Availability of affordable smartphones and lower rates are expected to drive growth in the
