Facial Expression

Introduction

For more than 40 years, many researchers has been studying the facial expression. Researchers has found seven universal facial expressions around the world, though some are used differently than others, depending on their culture. A very famous researcher who started researching the human emotions 1 relating to facial expression was Paul Ekman . The facial expression is a non-verbal form of our every day communication, conveying the person’s emotions on the face and is also used as a sign to communicate with others. Therefore, it forms part of the human body language. These expressions help us communicate more effectively during a face-to-face conversation and during cross-culture communication.
