Abstract:

In this study of Lichen diversity, experiment was performed in order to compare the density of lichen on the north and south side of tree bark. The purpose of this study was to discover whether if there is a difference on lichen’s preference to grow on the north side or south side of the tree. We hypothesized that there would be no difference in the number of lichens between the north side and south side of the tree and that there would be no difference in the density lichen and temperature of the bark. After completing this study, we could reject the hypotheses lichens north and south side of the tree. But failed to reject the hypotheses temperature and the density of lichen.

Abstract: The abstract is the last part of the paper to be written and should be a recap of your entire study. You should include general statements on the study site, performed actions, major results and conclusions.

Introduction:

The goal of this study is to compare the density of Lichens between the north side of the tree and south side of the tree on the James River park. This study tested these hypotheses: there is no difference between the north side of the tree and south side of the tree and that there is no difference in the density of lichen and temperature of the bark.

Lichen are plantlike organisms that is a result of a symbiotic relationship between algae and fungi. Lichens are important to the ecosystem, because of the role they play. For example lichen allow us to get better understanding of what's going on in our atmosphere. This is due to their ability to absorb everything in their environment.
