Hedgehog Features:
1. Permits problem solver/decision maker/action taker to "empty" mind and permit conscious brain to become more receptive to new ideas from pre-conscious.
2. Permits experiences, random factors, submissions by others to be noted in one place.
3 Central format of statements on situation act as continual idea triggers.
4 If hedgehog is hung in office "public"" area, colleagues may be encouraged to enter factor suggestions. Everyone becomes familiar with what others in office are working on and can cross fertilize ideas.
5. Informal appearance. Discourages reading of prior entries which stifles further entries. Duplication is not feared--it is encouraged because a flow of ideas that are duplicates might yield the one idea crucial to success.
