The writing ‘No cut and dried conclusions in the great cannabis debate’ is a Newspaper report/ article because the layout of the text contains narrow columns with large bold prints headings and also along with photos related to subject of the writing and writer name. The text is mostly written in long paragraphs, complex language and sentences.
The Purpose of the Piece
The purpose of the writing is to highlight an issue of health related to use of cannabis and its effects on the human body. The writing provides evidence based on scientific discoveries for proving the diverse effects of cannabis such as the title of the writing suggest: ‘No cut and dried conclusions in the great cannabis debate’ and ‘the plant knows as Cannabis Sativa has been used in various forms such as painkiller for at least 5,000 year.
