The integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) on the teaching and learning environment of girl learners.

Rationale:

← To investigate the impact made by ICTs in the education of girl learners in as far as the benefits and the challenges are experienced in the integration of ICTs in education are concerned.

Aim:

← To examine what ICTs girls use and for what purpose.

← To examine their attitudes towards the use of ICTs and their ICT skills.

← To investigate the dangers that may be faced by girl learners in the use of ICTs.

← To establish the type of support that is in place and to establish the training needs of both teachers and learners.

Sub- research questions

← What ICTs are available and accessible at school and what purpose are they used for?

← What are the challenges and advantages in integrating ICTs into teaching and learning?

← What support and training is provided for teachers and girl learners to enhance the effectiveness of ICTs in teaching and learning?

← What safety measures are there to protect the vulnerability of girl learners against the dangers of the use of ICT?
