Construct and Support and Argument Paper

I’m too busy and have been away from academia far too long! I lack the confidence to speak publically and am intimidated by dense reading! I’m too old and my kid needs my attention! These are all valid reasons for me to not pursue a Master’s degree. While it might be common for people such as myself to find an enumerable amount of excuses to not return to school, I would offer that the pros far outweigh the cons. Furthermore it is an endeavor that would yield a fruitful return.

According to the Jungian personality self assessment I am well adept in the area of extroversion making me a good candidate for management and sales positions. This coupled with a high score in the conscientiousness area make me likely to excel at my job. It is my belief that I can do anything I put my mind to. Moreover I would assert that I have the characteristics of a multi-achiever. While some folks can multi-task it doesn’t necessarily mean that they can multi-achieve. The crux of the multi achiever’s repertoire is time management.

To manage my time is to manage my stress. During my experience as an undergrad student I quickly discovered the importance of such a philosophy. More often than not my stress level increased when I failed to be pro-active in terms of planning i.e., procrastinated. Avoidance of procrastination is pivotal in my goal of realizing success as an MBA student at the University of Phoenix. In effort to mitigate an unsuccessful term as an MBA student I have comprised a list of three areas of my life that require balancing.

First and foremost is my support network or family. My morale is most greatly impacted by this area. Since my morale is the most important variable I find it appropriate that my support network be given the highest priority when weighing the three areas.
