In the first part of the report we analyze the company profile of Nestle Bangladesh Ltd. Nestle is the world's largest food & beverages company in terms of sales as well as product range and geographical presence. Today, the company operates in 86 countries around the world and employs nearly 283,000 people. Nestle Bangladesh Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nestle S.A., started its commercial production in 1994 and currently employs 400 people directly in the company and another 1000 people indirectly in the industry.

In the Consumer product Industry analysis, following major aspects are found: Nestle is one of the leading food & beverage company in Bangladesh.

Nestle covers nearly every field of nutrition: infant formula, milk products, chocolate and confectionery, instant coffee, ice-cream, culinary products, frozen ready-made meals, mineral water etc. Nestle is also a major producer of pet food. In most of these product groups and in most markets, Nestle is the leader or at least a strong number two. Many of its brand names are familiar to us: Nescafé, Nido, Maggi, Polo, Smarties, Milo, Perrier, Friskies, KitKat, Crunch….Some of its products have broken records: 3,000 cups of Nescafé are consumed every second. And KitKat merited an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s best-selling chocolate bar with 418 KitKat fingers eaten every second around the world!
