Report about trip to Beryl’s Chocolate & Confectionery Sdn Bhd

(Chocolate Factory)

At 17th march 2011, Accounting student 3rd year (TMB 1 and TMB 2) and Marketing student 2nd year (TMC) went visit to Beryl’s Chocolate & Confectionery Sdn Bhd at Serdang, Selangor. And around 70 students went to visit the Beryl’s Chocolate. We are very excited to see how to make a chocolate and how to shape the chocolate become beautiful and look like delicious. The Beryl’s chocolate produces more chocolate tasty and delicious.

By 9.00a.m, we are assembling at lobby FEM for waiting the bus. And around 9.30, we move to Berly’s Chocolate at Serdang, Selangor. We are very excited and happy, we are singing in the bus. Average 1hour and 30 minutes, we are arriving at Berly’s chocolate. We were just on time when we reached Beryl's Factory in Serdang. A nice lady guided us all the way thru. It was fun for us to see how chocolates were cooked in the large mixer, wrapped and packed. The machines do the good job and we found it really good too, on how chocolates were wrapped individually by the machines. It was not that long in the fact but worth a visit.

Before we are visit into the factory who produce the chocolate, we had showed by slide or video how to make the chocolate from cacao, how to take cacao to make the chocolate. Many processes must do to make the good chocolate. They also give information, history about chocolate and about Beryl’s Chocolate. The cchocolates is a raw or processed food produced from the seed of the tropical cacao tree. Cacao has been cultivated for at least three millennia in Mexico, Central and South America, with its earliest documented use around 1100 BC. The majority of the Mesoamerican people made chocolate beverages, a Nahuatl word meaning "bitter water". The seeds of the cacao tree have an intense bitter taste, and must be fermented to develop the flavor. Chocolate has been used as a drink for nearly all of its history.
