Cypress, California, 1975, the home of Earl Woods, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, and wife Kultida, a native of Thailand, gave birth to a son, Eldrick T. Woods. The name “Tiger”, (nickname), was given to him by his father, in honor of a past friend during the Vietnam War, who held the same nickname “Tiger”. Eldrick T. Woods, now known as, “Tiger Woods”, and a legendary American Professional Golfer that ranks among the best golfer of all times.

At six months olds, Tiger would watch his father hit golf balls in a net in the back yard of their home. Imitating his father’s swing, Tiger became a natural at the game, showing remarkable skills and interest. Earl (Tiger’s father), serve as Tiger teacher and mentor, coaching him every aspect of the game. Between the ages of two and five years olds, Tiger had made appearance on the “Mike Douglas Show, (putt against Bob Hope) and shot a 48 over par on a nine hole golf course at the Navy Golf Club. Later, appeared on the ABC’s “That’s Incredible” and appeared in the Golf Digest magazine. By this stretch in Tiger’s life, stardom has just begun.

Taking advantage of all the teaching and lessons given by not only by his father, but from trained professionals, Tiger took playing the game of golf to another level (at his age). Not only winning the Optimist International Junior Championship at age eight, also at age nine, ten, twelve, thirteen, fourteen and fifteen, becoming the youngest U.S. Junior Amateur Champion in gulf history.

Tiger's father,” Earl”, has never denied devoting his energies to developing his son's talent and furthering his career as a golfer. During practice sessions, Tiger learned to maintain his composure, hold his concentration while his father persistently made extremely loud noises and created other distractions. All the while, Tiger's mother,” Kultida”, made sure that her son's rare talent and his budding golf career would not interfere with his childhood or his future happiness....
