Course Description: BADM-701: 3 Credit Hours. This course introduces students to financial accounting. It emphasizes identifying and interpreting relevant accounting information for decision-making by external users. Blackboard will be used extensively for this course.
Course Objectives: At the end of this class, you should:
1. Understand basic accounting terminology and concepts
2. Be able to analyze basic business transactions and transform them into financial statements
3. Be able to analyze basic financial statements
4. Be able to evaluate and use information that might be available to a manager for decision-making, including ethical and behavioral decision-making

Course Requirements:
Take tests on dates scheduled: There will be 1 exam during the semester and a comprehensive final at the end of the semester. Tests are to be taken on the days designated on the class schedule or determined in class. NO make-up opportunity will be provided unless arrangements for a missed test are made PRIOR to the test date. Make-up tests, when offered, may take a different form than the original test.
