SYLLABUS FOR THE EXAMINATION OF “ASSISTANT”

Scheme of Selection:-

The Selection Process will consist of two stages, i.e. Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. Preliminary Examination will be a screening test and only those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be admitted to the Main Examination. The marks of the Preliminary Examination will not be considered for final selection which will be based on the performance in the Main Examination. Main Examination will have two parts i.e. Written Examination and Personality Test. The name of the papers for Preliminary as well as Main Examination are as under:

Note:- i) Both papers A & B will be objective type (Multiple choice type)

ii) Question papers (Test Booklets) for both the parts in Preliminary Examination will be set in English.

The Main Examination will consist of two parts: Part-I, Written Examination & Part-II, Personality Test.

1. All the Question papers for the Main Examination will be of conventional type.

2. All the Question papers except that of Paper-II, will be printed both in English & Hindi.

3. The RIE, Bhubaneswar will have the full discretion to fix separate minimum qualifying marks in each of the papers and in the aggregate of all the papers separately for each category of candidates (viz. SC/ST/OBC/PH/EXM/UR). Only those candidates who qualify in all the papers...
