Vacation Planning

The purpose of my presentation will be to persuade people to prepare in advance for taking vacations so that they can have a fun and adventurous vacation and avoid any stress-related activities that may ruin their vacation. By being well-prepared for going on a vacation, people will avoid the common mistakes most people make when they take a vacation (Storm, 2003). My presentation will be for those who travel on their vacations or go on trips. Preparing for a vacation can be both fun and adventurous. The thought of going on vacation gives you the feeling of getting away from the troubles, issues and distress of the world and acquiring a peace of mind not found anywhere else.

When preparing for a vacation, most people like to choose a place they have dreamed about going to visit or a historical location. Places you have dreamed about may be places you want to visit but lack the funds or means to go there. Historical places provide people with a vivid imagination about the historical place and what took place there. It makes them feel like they were right there when seeing the places in person. Places of intrigued attract people who are interested in art and breathe-taking scenery. Such places may include Niagara Falls, the beautiful mountains in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the monument at Bandelier Canyon. Of course, there are beautiful beaches and world famous resorts across the country that interest many people and tourists. People with children like to choose areas that are fun for their children, such as Disney Land or Six Flags (Lee, 2011). If you are taking children, you really want to make them happy or they could end up getting upset about the trip and this could affect the amount of fun you have. So their desires should be taken into consideration. No matter the destination, those preparing to take a vacation must consider the things they would like to do on their vacation as well as the place so that they will know what type of clothing...
