THE ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY COLLEGE TRANSFER STUDENTS

ARTICLE 4 OFFICERS

The elected officers of the Association shall comprise: President, Vice President for the administration, Public Relations and Outreach, Fundraising, Secretary, Liaison and Membership.

The Association may appoint subordinate and committee members as may be required from time to time.

Presidents Portfolio:

The President’s duties and authority shall include but not limited to:

• Chair all meetings of the executive and general body of the Association

• Oversee all daily activities and operations of the Association

• Fulfill recommendations for the addition of removal of membership

• Appoint a disciplinary committee when the need so arises

o The disciplinary committee shall be an Ad Hoc committee designated to investigate irregularities, misconduct, conflicts and any other fraudulent activity by the any member of the Association. Members of this committee shall not be a part of the issue before the committee.

• Prepare the agenda for the Executive and General Meetings and sign off on it

• Oversee the preparation of timely reports to the board of the Association

• Oversee any planning and implementation of the appropriate strategies required to fulfill the objectives of the Association

• Remain passive in the event of voting except when there is a deadlock situation where his vote is eligible but in an objective manner

• Have such duties and power towards the advancement of the wellbeing of the Association

Vice President’s Portfolio:

The Vice President’s duties and authority shall include but not confined to:

• To preside over the activities of the Administration including:

o Secretary

o Treasurer

o Membership Coordinator

o Public Relations and Outreach

o UTECH and Community College Liaison Officers

o Editorial Personnel
