The purpose of Management class is to understand fundamental managerial tactics and how to appropriately implement these tactics in a workplace setting. Many of these tactics, such as motivating, leading, and organizational planning are necessary to successfully run a business. It is important that a manager is aware of these tactics and the instances in which they should be implemented. Probably one of the most effective ways to understand these tactics, is by first observing real world managerial issues and then applying the methods learned in class to the issues in the workplace. During an interview, a real world manager, Mario (LAST NAME), detailed some important managerial issues to which the topics mentioned in class can be applied. Among these issues were property deviance, employee turnover, and lack of motivation.

For this project, Dynamic Solutions found it appropriate to interview Mario (LAST NAME) in order to assess his daily tactical plans. As a regional bank manager at The Bank of America located in Snider Plaza, Mario has acquired a wealth of managerial experience over the past six years. Through this interview, we learned a great deal about the tasks he performs throughout the day. His position requires him to be constantly interacting with his employees and his boss at the corporate office. This communication with corporate is an example of Mario performing the the disseminator role, which is“the informal role managers play when they share information with others in their departments or companies”(Williams 19). In addition to dealing with his employees and the corporate office, Mario deals with many external relationships. For example, he deals with customer issues that the banker or teller cannot fix. Mario is also responsible for human resource management, marketing products and services to customers, staffing, bringing in new customers, and resolving customer complaints.
