Introduction

This paper is build on the topic “Challenges that face North Americans and Lithuanias working in the same environment: LCC IU case study.” and is done primarily in identifying the possible problems and eventual solution to an environment that requires employees coming from two different cultures, to cooperate with each other.

Speaking about the objectives of this paper, we can group them in three main objectives. Firstly, we strive to find out what are the preferences of their work place, clustering them into the five cultural dimensions of Dr. Hofstede. The second one comes in a sequence from the first which is what are the differences and similarities in their preferences in the work place, linked closely to the organizational culture of LCC, and whether this differences have to do with the amount of time spend working for LCC or not. Finally, our last objective would be assessing the relation between time spent in LCC and preferences both between North Americans and Lithuanians.

Regarding our questions for this study, they are also grouped in three main ones:

1- Do North Americans and Lithuanias who work in LCC IU share similar preferences in their working environment?

2- Do North Americans and Lithuaniasn who work in LCC IU adapt to the organizational culture after working for more than 1/3 years?

3- Can LCC IU organizational policy be changed in order to meet the working preferences of their employees?
