Industrial Revolution

Industrialization starting in Britain has shaped our world in many ways. The natural environment and its impact on production and manufacturing has also provided us with the resources necessary for everyday life. Industrialization first started in Britain in the 1760’s with the application of mechanical power, then moved into western Europe, and than across central and eastern Europe, and finally into Russia. Many people went to Britain because of new opportunities and advantages that weren’t offered elsewhere, and as a result, there was unexpected turmoil. There was also a huge population boom that produced an abundant scarcity of resources caused by the pressure of population growth on the land, which led to the start of the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution was not only shaped from the natural world of the environment but was integrated together with the human world of politics, society, and cultural lifestyles to create the ever-flourishing industrialized world we live in today. Through the effects of the natural world, the human world incorporated itself to react to these environmental factors, creating both negative and positive effects of Industrialization. The shortages of the natural world ultimately led to innovations in the human world.

With substantial increases in population, shortages in Britain were starting to occur everywhere. Before Industrialization started occurring in Britain, the population was largely dependent on their land for some of their most important materials considered necessities for everyday life such as wood, food, clothing, building materials, fuel, and transportation. The lack of these natural resources and the overpopulation that was occurring necessitated change.
