To Drill or Not to Drill

With the question at hand my choice would have to be not to Drill. I have always felt that the use of oil is something that full pollutes the environment, and has a large effect on the global warming. If we did not depend so heavily on the use of oil, we would not have to find other ways to produce other energy. Drilling here in the United States is not an answer for the oil possible oil shortage nor away to get away from purchasing from foreign countries. We have to provide a different means of providing energy.

If we decide to drill for crude oil in the United States. It will provide jobs for our people that work in that industry. Something that is very limited for our economy, it will only provide jobs for those who work in that industry. As to the use and building of the solar energy or geothermal energy. If we decided to use forms of energy, the cost to build the plants would cost a lot less than a oil platform or drilling equipment. The cost would out weight the cost to build a solar plant for electrical distribution. As well as providing a various source of energy for automobiles. Solar energy also consumes less space to store for future use. As to where oil demands large amount of space to hold until it is needed. If we decided to build solar power plant it would only cost a third of the cost as a oil drilling project. It would also provide more jobs to the United States people. It demands more effort of team work and planning from various sources to produce the final product.

I have provided enough supporting information to support my choice as to not drill in the United States. I feel that the drilling that we currently have in the United States does produce oil, just not enough to support the demand we currently have in the US. We have to support a different source of energy to replace the use and need for oil. Oil has a large effect on the world in whole. It does currently support...
