ANOVA and Nonparametric Simulation Paper

Praxidike is a software company that develops and provides software solutions to a large and wide client base. This simulation revolved around analyzing variables such as customer satisfaction and productivity.

Lessons Learned

In the simulation I used ANOVA and the Kruskal-Wallis test to analyze productivity and client satisfaction at Praxidike Systems. ANOVA was established for multiple studies and the population is assumed to be normally distributed. ANOVA is also used to test for major differences between means. The nonparametric test does not assume about the distribution.

Lessons

There were several lessons learned doing this simulation. One, monitor the situation, two, measure and accumulate the data, and third, make improvements by providing solutions. The Kruskal-Wallis test is used to analyze data that does not have a normal distribution and/or the data has been determined as ordinal and not quantitative. Another lesson learned is that if the right variables are not considered could lead to poor decisions. Studying the test results to determine if something has an impact on the experiments outcome.

Tools in the workplace

I do not work outside the home but after going through the simulation I thought that maybe a manufacturing plant would use ANOVA to compare budgets from this year with budgets from last year. Managers can use these tests to help clarify the process, make changes, and improve the quality of the goods produced.

Additional Information

The data should be checked and considered whether it is ordinal, nominal, interval, or ratio. A test should be conducted based on the levels of measurement and appropriate to the situation.
