Decisions in Paradise Part I

Kava is a significant island country in the South pacific with a population over 50% under the age of 15. The Ethnic background is a diverse one encompassing South Pacific Tribes, Spanish, French, Asians, Africans, and Americans. Unfortunately, Kava has oftentimes been hit with many disasters to include but is not limited to; Tidal waves, typhoons, floods, fires, HI/AIDS and a high risk for avian flu. However, Kava’s economy depends on their petroleum, coffee, cocoa, spices, bananas, sugar, tourism, fishing, and natural gas. These help to support the economy, which also offers inexpensive and quality labor.

Taking on expansion in Kava is a risky decision but one that must be made. Disasters hit every part of the world, but it is how we react to them and prepare for them that create the outcome of these disasters. Our company has shown that we can develop and manage an effective and highly efficient organization structure and processes. These are qualities we can bring to the Kava culture to help them get back on track and prepare for coming disasters. What happens in Kava affects everyone around the world and to take more from Kava it is vital that we also give back. If Kava continues to get hit with these disasters and have no way to come back from them everyone will suffer. It is also important to remember that Chris Morales, our founder, has a deep seeded commitment to do what is right. Our company wants to continue to enhance who we are, upgrade our appearance, increase the good that we do and we choose to do it.

Our organization will be taking a major risk heading into Kava. This is a country hit hard by disasters on a...
