One of the strengths of Apple is its brand loyalty. Many people are willing to spend money on the Apple products because Apple seems like a fashion icon. Customers can customize their own Apple’s products with existing supporting programs such as Apps and other existing Apple products. Moreover, Apple offers a chain of products such as IPAD, IPHONE and IPOD, which has increased its market share. Apple also offers a unique connection between products such as the connection between the IPAD and the IPHONE, which increases its competitiveness. Apple stores acts as good ways to promote the products which most of its competitors do not have. All of the Apple products are displayed in stores and customers are allowed to try any products without restriction. This marketing promotion attracts new Apple users with in-stores services providing direct assistance to customers.

For the weakness, the prices of Apple products are generally twice or even triple times higher than its competitors. These “luxury” products makes Apple lose customers who can’t afford the high price. Using certain kinds of software such as ITUNES for its products is another weakness of Apple. Apart from that, Microsoft Office is still not supported on Mac computers. Customers need to buy Microsoft Office for Mac. No keyboard features in some of its products such as IPHONE also cause people to select other brands like Blackberry.

Therefore, for attracting customers who cannot afford the high priced products, Apple can expand NANO products and develop new NANO products like NANO IPAD. Since NANO products are famous for their smaller size and cheaper price, expanding NANO products avoids having to lower the price of products like IPAD and IPOD and maintains Apple’s “Luxury” position in the market.
