Phone Interview Questions

• Do you have experience working in a sales driven environment? What were your goals? How did you help meet these goals?

o Yes, I have quite a bit. My most current job, we are encouraged to up sell many different items and addons to customers original orders. We have management motivating us as well as sales commissions.

o My previous sales job at pier 1, there was no sales commission there, but my manager motivated us all to do our best to make high ticket sales and open store credit cards, it was pretty fun, my co workers and I turned it into a competiton. Our manager noticed and left the daily sales list on the computer screen to motivate us more.

o I also worked at a tanning salon which was a franchise. The manager wasn’t always around so we worked off of a sales commission in which we had to sell a minimum before receiving commission.

• How would you protect customers information?

o Well I’m not too familiar with the procedures as of yet, but I know when I go into the bank and realize I did not bring my account number, they ask for my social security number. If I was in their position, which im sure they already do, id shread the piece of paper containing the information or return it to the customer. Id also make sure to exit from the customers account page after every customer to ensure their security.

• Describe a time where you were on a team to accomplish a task or project. What was your role and how did you contribute?

o At the new meadowlands stadium, in addition to my regular job there, in the winter time, I am a team leader for a team of 50 in charge of removing snow from different sections in the stadium. When heading to a new section, I usually take a minute to formulate a plan with the team supervisor and we plan accordingly using every available resource and as quick as possible so each team member is able to keep warm and each has a chance to rest.
