Introduction

Today, I will introduce the first emperor of Chinese feudal society - Qin Shi Huang. He established the first centralized, unified, multi-ethnic feudal state in Chinese history - Qin Dynasty. In this essay, I will narrate the important experiences through his lifetime and the main achievements.

Birth

According to the Records of the Grand Historian, a rich merchant in the state of Han, named Lü Buwei, met Master Yiren. Lü Buwei helped Yiren become King Zhuang Xiang of Qin (Watson, 1996). At the time, King Zhuang Xiang of Qin saw a concubine belonging to Lü Buwei, then Lü Buwei contributed the concubine to King Zhuang Xiang of Qin (Watson, 1996). Later, she bore the first emperor Qin Shi Huang with the name of Ying Zheng in 259 BC (Watson, 1996).

From 230 BC to 221 BC, Ying Zheng started a serial of wars to conquer the independent kingdoms one by one during the Warring States Period. The first state was Han in 230 BC (Ren and Wu, 2000). Then Qin took advantage of a natural disaster of the state earthquake to conquer Zhao where Ying Zheng was born in 228 BC (Ren and Wu, 2000). Qin conquered the small state of Wei in 225 BC, the largest state Chu in 223 BC, and the northern country of Yan in 222 BC (Ren and Wu, 2000). The last independent country left was the state of Qi and it was conquered in 221 BC (Ren and Wu, 2000).

When Ying Zheng unified China, he considered that his achievement had surpassed the legendary "San...
