Math 121 Spring 2011 – Class Research Project

For this assignment you are going to help collect data for a class research project. The purpose of the project is to help us understand how easy to use the Edgewood College Website is. This will take you a maximum of half an hour. Please set aside 30 minutes to do this all at once. For this project start at the main college website:

http://www.edgewood.edu/Default.aspx

I am going to ask you to record your start time and end time for this project. If at the end of 30 minutes you have not answered all the questions below you may stop and simply record your end time, leaving the questions unanswered. [You will be “graded” simply on the basis of participation – if you can’t find answers that doesn’t count against you – that’s data we want!] Then as a class we’ll draw some conclusions based on the data.

BEGIN – RECORD YOUR START TIME. 3:08

Answer as many of the questions as you can in 30 minutes; you may skip questions and answer in any order you want. Stay within the Edgewood website (i.e. don’t go to Google but just follow Edgewood links and don’t pick up a phone. We’re researching this site for ease of use). Also, if you have personal knowledge of an answer, don’t use it – see if you answer my question just from the website.
