Abstract

The lucky individuals that are chosen to work for BMW can expect to work for an employer that depends on the assistance of all employees when looking for solutions to a problem. BMW is widely known for their entrepreneurial culture as well as their style of leadership which has a major impact on their organizational culture. This is one of the reasons why employees of BMW exhibit high job satisfaction while working for the auto maker. BMW’s organizational creativity can be attributed to their concentration, preparation, and illumination stages. The culture and work environment at BMW is one in management leads by example. They include their employees in almost all aspects of business within the organization which gives them a since of belonging. The strong organizational culture at BMW allows them to hire and retain loyal and dedicated employees.

BMW should be considered pioneers in regards to organizational culture. Receiving over 200,000 employment applications yearly, only a few lucky individuals will be selected to work for the auto makers. BMW’s selection process ensures that they eliminate any candidate whose ego may be too big for the organizations image. The organization has experienced much success due to their innovative entrepreneurial culture as well as their empowering work environment that includes all levels of employees assisting in most of the designing and decision making processes. BMW’s transformational leadership style assists them in inspiring employees to put forth their best effort while high levels of job satisfaction is experienced because of the continuous feedback that employees receive in regards to the work that they do. This allows employees to see the impact that their efforts has on production and allows quick adjustments if needed.
