Club IT Competitive Strategy

Technology plays a huge role for consumers and organizations. Beyond typical business transactions like buying and selling products and services, other types of businesses want and need to find way to appeal to the convenience of their customers. Club IT is a downtown music venue wanting to expand their business into the age of technology hopefully to attract more business and find new ways to promote the club. Although the owner, Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keys just completed renovations on the club to improve its appearance, it is time to expand their technological knowledge.

Club IT’s Mission and General Overview

Club IT is filled with customers who already take advantage of mobile technology. Technology use is obvious to Lisa and Ruben because of the internet surfing, photography, and amount of communication taking place nightly through their customers’ cell phones. The mission of Club IT is to make the customers feel like the owners are close personal friends and they want to provide a place to meet regularly where the customers always believe they are welcome. Club IT offers live music on Friday and Saturday nights and Tuesday through Thursday they have a live DJ playing hip-hop, techno, electronic and Top 40 hits. The music selections are varied to satisfy music lovers of different genres.

Competitive Strategies

Club IT strives to satisfy its customers and wants to ensure that they are building longlasting relationships that keep them coming back. Michael Porter developed five strategies to help increase an organizations competitive advantage.
