When examining the legal section of how Kudler Fine Foods handle any legal situations that might arise, we see that it is done through a non-formal legal representation. This could be harmful in the event of a major legal situation. The use of family members as legal advice in formal and informal ways can in itself be a legal hazard in the ethical way. By waiting to talk with legal counsel at family functions or when the opportunity arises is bad business ethics. The way that the individual stores and their management team are instructed to handle legal matters needs to be addresses and reformatted to where a professional legal company can be retained to handle any legal matters. This will prevent unnecessary loss that can be avoided by proper legal representation. By having customer in-home parties could be a liability that could hurt the business overall. This could be legal or even ethical situations that could arise due to in-home parties. This part of the Frequent Shopper Program should be redesigned into another award with less liability. With the frequent shopper program, the rewards will need to be adjusted to be equally satisfying to all customers instead of customers that fly airlines a lot. This could be a legal problem, as well as ethical problem with the simple fact not everyone fly or even can afford to fly. This could show preferential treatment to certain customers and not everyone. Setting up an awards program in the computer system to track the points on every customer and apply them to in-house discounts on their total cost would prove to be more beneficial and equally satisfying to all customers. This will increase the customer satisfaction more that offering airline tickets of discounts on specialty foods.
