The effectiveness of this site is decent only because they tell you the effect that certain drugs can have on you. I believe with this site that they are conveying accurate information but all they are doing is telling you what it does to you. They are not saying how if you have a problem with it what the solution is or how you could get help. I also feel as if they are just telling you all these things that drugs can do and if a teen were to read this site and be curious about it he/she would also want to try it after seeing or reading about what it can do to you. This site does have a lot of information on drugs and some teens that go on the website might actually learn it enough from it not to do drugs. The site provides places where you can click on different drugs and see what they do to your brain and what they can do to your body. Overall the site has good information. Reading this site and learning about all this stuff it makes me not want to do drugs.

In my experiences with drugs and education, the education they have on drugs is poor. The D.A.R.E. program is a waste of time because it was done at a younger age and I do not even remember it that well. Also kids are young when they learn about the D.A.R.E. program and facts about drugs like marijuana or narcotics. This program might want to make kids do drugs or might point them into doing drugs. At the same time if you wait until they are a little older it could be too late or they could be interested once you talk about the drugs. Also when I was younger I feel as if there was not as much drug education as there is now. I say this because I believe there is more of a problem now in teenagers and younger children with drugs. More kids are willing to try drugs just to try it thinking they will not get hooked and then they do.
