* Successfully produces medicine and vaccinations against the most worldwide diseases such as tubercolosis, malaria and HIV/AIDS.

* Has 7% of the world pharmaceutical market.

* Operates in 120 countries and products are sold in more than 150 countries.

* Goodwill and loyalty brand.

* High profits in last years allow the company to give high return to its shareholders.

* Necessity of medicine.

Weaknesses

* Highly concentrated on the UK pharmaceutical market.

* Controversial product Avantia ,which was slided off the marked because of its undesirable effects to cardio system, might lead to less credibility in future.

* More expensive products in comparison with non-original companies

Opportunities

* Penetrate emerging markets in Africa and Asia.

* Use vast experience about pharmaceutics giving them competitive edge on others to develop new products.

Threats:

* Research and Development without any significant result.

* More undesirable effects of their products.

* Possible charge with breaking drug patents of their competing companies.
