I must say, Jesus and Mohammed have shaped the course of history and the destiny of men and women for over two millennia. Christianity and Islam are currently the largest religions with a following of about 1.8 billion and 1 billion respectively. No other religion in the world comes close to achieving such numbers. These are the only two religions that have a global presence; in other words you will find Muslims and Christians present in every territory in the world.

Jesus and Mohammed in relation to each respective religion are quite different. For instance Jesus allegedly died and rose from the dead while Mohammed stayed dead. Honestly, dead is dead because to this day Jesus has not returned as promised. Mohammed fought many times while Jesus never fought. When Jesus heard from God he went to the desert to be tempted and began his ministry with boldness. On the other hand, when Muhammad heard from God (supposedly through an angel) he cowered, was uncertain, and wanted to commit suicide (Quran 74:1-5).

Jesus claimed to be God (John 8:24; 8:58) as well as a man. In addition, Jesus also claimed to be the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6) whereas Muhammad just claimed to be a man. Jesus allegedly had the power to take life, but never did. He restored it. Muhammad had the power to take it, but he never restored it. Jesus never married, but Mohammed was said to have had at least 20 wives. Jesus taught for about three and a half years while Mohammed taught for about 20. Moreover, Muhammad did not fulfill any biblical prophecy except the ones about false teachers (Matt. 24:24). However, most people believed Jesus fulfilled biblical prophecy about being the Messiah. Most people also believe Jesus never committed any sin, but I believe he did with blasphemy. In contrast, Muhammad was a sinner (Quran 40:55; 48:1-2).
