I believe in order to succeed in the international sector companies need to do extensive research on where they are going and what they can do to benefit both home and internationally. The companies need to see that completely leaving the US has adverse effects on them and the US. There are solutions that would allow for both places to be happy and still see profit. It comes from involving other countries to come and work here in the US or invest in the US while we also invest them. . Companies need to incorporate the give and take strategy instead of just up and leaving. Self-improvement would require companies taking the necessary time to analyze how to make profits both here and in the global economy without hindering the cost of living here in the US. IF companies just continue to outsource more and more and not put back anything in the US communities then there will come a time when the US will be behind and not able to even purchase products that were once so simple. I believe knowledge and research are key and having companies find solutions to benefit all instead of just stuffing money in the investors pockets.

Referent power is “the ability to influence ones desirable traits and characteristics” (Dubrin, 2007, p. 201)

Two strategies the VP could use to motivate people and keep them focused on organizational objectives is empower the group and allow group members to choose methods. Empowerment refers to, “passing decision-making authority and responsibility from managers to group members” (Dubrin, 2007, p. 204)....
