1. Using the critical thinking skills you have gained and the materials provided for this assignment, identify two possible strategies that Thomas Hutchinson or Samuel Adams, or both, likely used to develop and improve his thinking prior to taking a stand and acting according to his beliefs.

In my opinion, Samuel Adams, and Thomas Hutchinson, used many strategies, which involved emotion, logic, and much more. These strategies were surely used to assist them prior to taking a stand or making a choice. Both of these historical figures are known for having many strategies and being critical thinkers, which have led to many beliefs many people have today.

2. Explain the importance of building a foundation for critical and creative thinking when evaluating historical events such as the Boston Tea Party.

It is important to build a foundation for critical and creative thinking when evaluating historical events such as the Boston Tea party. For example, some critical thinking strategies can be used such as listening and viewing. Listening is important because when talking about the Boston Tea Party during class or simply reading the text, it is important to grasp key points, which affected the Boston Tea Party, instead of just writing notes down without understanding them. Also, viewing is important because there are many graphics that can be examined, which explain what happened during this particular event. All historical events have graphics which need to be viewed and analyzed, which is why it is important for critical thinkers to build a foundation of critical and creative thinking.
