In recent years we have seen a large increase in undocumented aliens entering the United States. There are an enormous percentage of undocumented Hispanic aliens that reside in the United States, who have no medical coverage. In recent debates throughout the United States and government politician has been increasing tension to the rising cost of healthcare and undocumented immigrant’s contributions to the increased cost of health care.

The Uninsured Group

The state of Arizona has 579,000 of uninsured illegal immigrants without medical coverage. The Mexican and Central America are the largest on a short population in Arizona. This makes up of 56% of the uninsured population with in the state of Arizona alone. There are about 11 million uninsured undocumented hispanic population throughout the United States. In the state of Arizona 276,000 of the uninsured are children. There are at least 7.3 million uninsured children across the United States. The numbers are expected to be increasing throughout the years. (Sunnucks, 2010)

The Common Practice of the Uninsured

Throughout the United States we have seen in increase in the amount of emergency room visits throughout all the states. This is an alarming, as healthcare costs skyrocket and cost containment have reach outrageous amounts. A contribution factor is a large number of undocumented patients visiting emergency rooms and local community clinics. Many undocumented aliens don't have access to preventive measures to avoid common illnesses that exist. Therefore when a undocumented individual becomes seriously ill and must go to local emergency room and becomes admited. This will cost taxpayers about more money then providing an individual with preventive medical wellness measures.

City Hospitals and Clinics Affected by Uninsured

Many city hospitals and community health clinics are shutting down due to lack of profits and resources. There are a large number of city hospitals that lose millions of dollars alone...
