Weight issue proposal

More than half of the United State population is overweight in these days. Overweight is a biggest issue that growing up with a big number every year. Overweight is use to attack kids and young adults. Overweight can lead us to have many different type of illness like heart disease, depression, plus you will have eating problem they called bulimia nervosa and anorexia nervosa. Overweight is danger and it can kill every one of us in any day.

The problem of kids is being overweight because their parents are too busy for working. Since they don’t have time to cook healthy meals for their kids, they go out and buy McDonald or Popeye’s chicken instead. According to McDonald’s menu, a quarter pound hamburger with cheese has 510 calories, and 230 of fat. But a whole single meal has a hamburger, a medium fries and a medium coke. So they add 380 calories from a medium fries and add another 210 calories from a medium coke. The total of one meal is 1,100 calories but for school age kids allows only 1,600 to 2,500 a day. These kids are over eating without their parent’s knowledge. When these kids are over eating, those extra calories will store in their body and convert those calories to fat. Days passed days, those fat created health issues in their body system. Another reason that make kids now day overweight is they snack a lot of fatty foods like potato chips, popcorn, cakes, cookies, and much more. Plus, they always in front of TV watching movie or playing games almost all the time. In school, they buy fatty snack from snack machines. After snack, they still don’t stop intake more calories by drinking all high sugar sodas. They intake too much extra calories plus fat and only burn a quarter of what they intake by sitting all day.
