What is friendship?
There were two friends who knew each other in a college and this relationship became stronger with
time. One day, one of them wanted to test his friend by making up a story that he needed money
although he was aware that his friend did not have that amount of money. What made that request
quite complicated was that he needed that money in a week; beside it was high amount of money. The
one who was being tested had only a car and that car was the most valuable thing to him. Did he sell
the car in order to lend his friend money? Indeed he sold it to merely help and satisfy his friend. What
inspired this person to sacrifice his car even though he was an ordinary person working as a waiter?
It was friendship; in fact, a true friendship is unlike consumer relationship in many phases.
Friendship is a distinctive relationship between two individuals where honesty, loyalty and sacrifice
exist. It is all about how much two individuals care and understand each other. It is also a pure
relationship, which would make a peer smiles, feels satisfied being with a friend, feels confident of his
friend when telling his secrets and sacrifices for him in need. It is a bond of love which develops
gradually with time. In certain cases friendship might not last longer or end up early because such a
relationship might be built in a much shaken state or there might be money behind this relationship
However, a true permanent friendship, where loyalty and honesty are
the main motives, will last longer and even forever. This type of friendship is a very rare to find
nowadays where most people are busy with their own life and the most important desire to them is how
to earn money. It was easier back then when people had to travel long distances crossing continents in
order to find food or seek fertile land for agriculture or for herding and ranching. A loyal friend at that
