Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada decided to follow their dreams of opening a nightclub, to fulfill their passion for music. This paper will discuss Club IT’s mission statement, clientele, discuss information resources and how they are used to manage the business, and strategies that will increase Club IT’s competitive advantage.

Club IT’s mission statement is: "We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ's, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT." (Rainer & Turban, 2008 p. 5). Lisa and Ruben just completed extensive renovations to their Club, which will attract more clients, with its high ceilings, high tech energy lightning, will create a fun dance atmosphere. With these great renovations, the club provides a total of 6000 square feet of fun, 600 square feet is available where you can show off your dance moves on the dance floor, and when you need to take a break it offers seating for up to 220. Club IT hires live bands for Friday and Saturday nights, and provides a DJ on Tuesday thru Thursdays which plays a variety of MP3’s. The club is closed on Sunday.

Club IT’s primary clientele would be individuals over the age of 21 whom share a passion for music as the owners Ruben and Lisa do. Club IT provides many types of music, such as Hip Hop, Techno, Electronica, MP3 and live music. Club IT also provides merchandise with their logo on it and a short list of appetizers and drinks, which will clinch your thirst or should you, need a bite to eat.
