RECY

I. Procedure for doing a cash/check purchase

1. In the Recy program go to the top menu bar and click on Purchase/Sales. Select Cash Purchase/Sales from the drop down list.

2. The Cash Purchase screen will appear and you should verify that the top left corner box has Cash Purchase in it.

3. In the next box (Account/Name) type in LPED (Lynchburg Peddler) and hit Enter.

Note: Several of our consistent peddlers have their own accounts set up. You would want to use their account instead of the general site peddler account. A consistent peddler is a loyal customer of Cycle Systems and they receive more money per round. There may be a list located at your site that you can refer to until you become accustomed to these customers.

4. In the top right hand corner of this window click on the button with the Blank Page on it.

5. A new window will appear and you will need to click in the large empty box in the right hand corner of this window. Type in the customer’s name and click on the Okay button in the bottom left hand corner.

6. If you are not using a computer generated ticket from the non-ferrous department, you will need to tab over to the command box (there should be a “?” in this box).

Note: If you do not know your commodity number leave the question mark and hit enter. A list will appear of all the commodities in use by Cycle Systems. If you go to the top of the screen that appears and you click on the first drop down box a list will appear. You will select Description and tab over to the next box. Type in what commodity you are looking for and the computer will search for this commodity for you. If this fails to produce a commodity number for you, there is a book located on the front counter that has a list of all commodity codes.

7. Once you have entered your commodity number tab over to the Weigh and enter in your weights.

8. Tab over to the Price box. The price may be right in the computer, but you...
