Human resource professionals can ensure that top organizational leaders encourage managers and employees to follow laws and guidelines by creating clear goals and strategies, setting up a metric to evaluate performances, promotions, salary increases and providing rewards for meeting goals and outstanding performance.

Setting up apparent and understandable goals and strategies works to guarantee that both the company leaders, managers, and employees are working together toward a common goal and they realize what their manager, department, and organization requires of them. In order for leaders to communicate laws and guidelines, it is important for human resource professionals to make sure that leaders understand policies and guidelines so that they can inform and properly train their workforce. For leaders of an organization to understand the company goals first hand and remain committed to these goals, it creates a trickle down effect. When upper managements leads by example, employees respect that and follow their lead. When organizational leaders are hard working and focused, that trickle down effect creates hard working and focused employees who comply with the guidelines of their organization.

Human resource professionals can also ensure that members of their organization follow laws and guidelines by developing a metric to measure results and evaluating performances. This allows the company to track and promote positive performance, deter negative performance, and gives the staff clear understanding of what is expected of them, as well as motivate improved performance.
