Information systems are a fast growing trend among businesses. Each department within a business normally operates on its own type of information system but all of the systems have the ability to pull and send data to and from each other.

The Human Resource department is one of the important parts of a business. This department is responsible for hiring employees to work within the company, managing their benefits, solving employee problems if possible, as well as keeping all of the employee training files up to date. In order to be productive with little to no room for error the Human Resource department relies heavily on the information system that they use. There are several systems that, after some research, appear reliable and efficient.

Staff Files HR Software tracks employee wages, benefits, training schedules and renewals, time off accruals (PTO), and employee performance. 1Staff by Professional Advantage helps HR personnel to track resumes, job orders, financial statements, discipline history, position history, salary history, email notifications, and performance appraisals. Another information system that is commonly used is CheckTime Web TimeSheet. This system is very user friendly and appears to be the most popular. It can be used for various functions like billing, cost accounting, and payroll. Employees can use this system to track everything from how much vacation time they have to how many hours they have worked for the current pay period. HR personnel can send email notifications reminding employees of late timesheets. ClickTime Web TimeSheet can also be used to run reports for billing, HR, and analytical purposes.
