Creating a Plan for Positive Influence

Motivation, satisfaction, and performance are essential in the preparation of a plan that can be applied in business setting. The differences in attitudes, emotions, personalities, and values in collaboration have a profound effect on behavior. These differences must be considered when implementing a plan for positive influence.

Attitudes

Attitudes are evaluative statements concerning how individuals feel about objects, people, and events. Cognition, affect, and behavior are the three something. Emotion and feeling are the affective component of an attitude. something or someone (2007, p. 75).

There is a relationship between attitude and behavior. The attitude that individuals have towards his or her position will affect his or her behavior at the workplace. An employee who has a positive attitude towards his or her position may arrive to work 15 minutes early each day. He or she will display an outwardly positive behavior because he or she is satisfied with how the company is treating him or her.

An employee at a law firm may have a negative attitude towards his or her supervisor because he or she has not received a raise. This evaluation leads to the employee to feel a dislike for his or her supervisor which in turn causes him or her to act in a negative manner. The employee looks of other work or complains to everyone who will listen. This attitude has affected his or her performance because the company has not satisfied his or her professional and personal need. Job satisfaction cannot be overlooked.

Job satisfaction is evaluated as a positive feeling about one’s job as a result of its characteristics. To influence behavior the company needs to incorporate a high level of job satisfaction for employees. Employees want to know that they are appreciated for what they do each day for the company.
