Group Project

You will be expected to work in groups of three to four for this assignment. On the first day of class the instructor will assign students into groups according to their learning style. Students who does not belong to any a group must approach the instructor as soon as possible.

The group project country notebook would entail a detailed making plan to promote a product in a foreign country and include the following three reports:

• Cultural report

• Economic report

• Marketing plan

On the first day of class, each group will choose a country for their study. The product selection will be made until the completion of the first two papers (cultural and economic papers). A detailed structure of the group project will be uploaded into e-Learning.

At any time during the semester, I strongly encourage you to discuss your project with me, and submit a draft of your report for my comments on its development. Whether you decide to do this is entirely at your own discretion.

The final presentation should be 15-18 minutes long. Taking less or more time may result in penalty. I will cut-off presentations that go beyond 18 minutes so that every group gets an opportunity to present.

During the presentation, the students will communicate their research and findings and address questions from their colleagues. It is expected that all team members participate equally in the group projects. Everyone will be evaluated by his/her team members. Free riders are not tolerated. Peer evaluation form will be posted on eLearning.

Class Policies

Students with Disabilities: Students with physical disabilities or learning impairments can be provided necessary special arrangements. They need to provide a letter from the Office of Counseling and Disability Services (CDS) explaining the nature of disability and the special arrangement required.
