Information Systems

In any successful business organization, data is essential because of different types of relevant and irrelevant information to collect for a specific purpose. In large organizations such as (Motorola, AT&T, Dominick’s, Wal-Mart, etc.) the amount of data is large, which makes it more difficult to process the data manually for these organizations. With the intention to run a business more efficiently and obtain more rapidly results, computers are used to process data electronically in daily basis. The development and management of information systems helps executives and the employees in performing any tasks related to the processing of information for that particular organization. Almost all the team members of an organization has to use information systems to complete various tasks for a company whether, making weekly schedules, payroll, e-mail, product information and so on. As described in introduction to information system book “An information system (IT) collects, processes, stores, analyzes, and disseminates information for a specific purpose” (Kelly Ranier Jr). Information systems are especially useful in an organization to obtain all of the inventory reports and business data to be used as implements for a better decision-making. By studying these reports information system managements can overlook and identify to fix any errors and avoid procrastination. Because computers are not able to create business strategies by themselves, yet they can assist managements and their teams to understand upon developing using different strategies and methods.
