The duty of being a manager, he or she is faced with many situations. A manager is defined by how he or she takes on the situation, and resolves it. Family and personal issues can cause tensing between employees and in addition cause problems for the manager. Similar to all issues that a manager is faced within the workplace, family and personal issues can be a sensitive issue that needs to be handled in a positive way so that the manager is not put in a situation that he or she may be accused being unethical. Outside sources and social issues affect the decision making process.
As soon as personal or family issues occur in the workplace, managers will have to consider carefully how he or she will handle the issue or issues being faced with. Preparing for the situation before facing it, managers then will be less prone to come across any sort of claim from the employee who he or she is not understanding and sympathetic to the issue he or she is going through.
