Organizational Behavior Terminology and Concepts

Throughout the world, there are many uses of terminology about organizational behavior and concepts. In this paper, you will learn about communication, diversity, organizational behavior, and organizational culture and how these terms are used in my work.

Frist I would like to start with a definition of communication. Communication is a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system of symbols, signs, or behavior ; also: exchange of information ("Communication," 2011). There are many uses of communication like talking to one another face- to- face, writing on a piece of paper, hand signals, and communicating through electronic devices. Through the work, that I do communication is a big part of the job because I have to talk to people everyday in good or bad situations asking question to receive the right answer required for the call that I am on.

Second definition is about diversity, and diversity is the condition of being composed of differing elements: variety; especially: the inclusion of different types of people (as people of different races or cultures) in a group or organization ("Diversity," 2011). Like the definition states about diversity you can find it in places where they speak of a certain neighborhood, or you can find it in defining a group of people < like a gang, religious group, or just a bunch of kids hanging on a corner.> but the biggest way people define diversity is by people race. As a community service officer dealing with diversity is a another part of the job because on a day –to –day basis I can talk to a lot of different people and trying to make sure I say the right word to the right people so no complaints come my way.
